R. Wilson Quarry near Watsonville is the largest hard rock quarry in the state and provides aggregate for the company’s concrete and asphalt plants. Graniterock operates its own transportation division, including rail services, to deliver products to job sites across the state.

Graniterock was founded on February 14, 1900 by A.R. Wilson. Through the decades, Graniterock has received many awards such as the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in 1992 and the Golden State Quality Award in 1994. Graniterock has also been named in the top 100 Best Places to Work in America by Fortune Magazine. For over a century Graniterock has maintained a position as a construction industry leader through employee dedication, technological innovations, and commitment to excellence.
